My name is Romane Hylton and from a very tender age I started expressing myself through a lens, by capturing my family stories and everything I found interesting. I am always amused and fascinated as to how much of an impact a single photograph had on us, from telling a story to reliving the moment from the picture.

Consequently, I fell in love with taking pictures of my family, friends and landscapes. I bought my first camera a Canon Power Shot A610 In the summer of 2006 with money i saved up from my summer job. I wanted to shoot so much that we had photo-shoot nights in my home, where my mother and sister dressed in different outfits. This earned me the title of “Camera Man” within my family.

During the years of developing my style and feeding my passion, I did not receive any formal training or certification. However, being dedicated and passionate I committed myself to learning and improving my craft. This aided me to collaborate with very experienced photographers, whom enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences.

Currently i reside in New York City where i do most of my shoots, but i also travel when shooting out of town or the country. I’m very humbled to this industry and will always be looking for new ways to improve, while contributing all I have to offer. My love for photography is endless, as it allows me to Explore, Capture and Create.
